Find your camera in case of theft: New low price for JJC quick release plate with built-in AirTag space

Share

The price dropped from $26 to now $19 on this JJC Quick Release pate for Airtag sold on Amazon. There is also a specific A7cII/cr quick plate version (Click here). There are also alternatives from Smallrrig (Click here) and Kiora (Click here). The Apple Airtags are discounted too (Click here).

If someone robs you on the street, this is probably the easiest and fastest way to find your camera. I use airtags on everything: camera, lens bag, mountain bike, cargo bike. I have never been robbed, but I have lost a few things a couple of times and always managed to find them. Better safe than sorry!

Today less than 50 percent of Japanese households own a digital camera

Share

Nikkei writes:

The penetration rate of digital cameras among households at the end of fiscal 2023 will fall below 50% for the first time in 19 years since the end of fiscal 2004. The demand for compact digital cameras has fallen as smartphone ownership has increased. Japan once had a strong presence in digital home appliances, but is now in a notable decline.

Not really a surprise. That’s why digital camera companies focused on the enthusiast amateur and pro market.
