Sony released the latest financial report: Small decline in video and still camera sales

Share

Sony released the full Q3 financial report. The company as a whole is doing well, but for the first time in a long time Sony reported a slight decline in sales of photo and video cameras. Sony writes that there has been a ‘deterioration in the product mix of digital cameras’. Nevertheless, the forecast remains unchanged, and in Q1 and A2 Sony had already reported higher sales than in the previous year.

Sigma 800mm f/6.3 E-mount lens rumor has just become more likely!

Share

Image on top shows the “old” Sigma 800mm f/5.6 lens

Last week a Weibo source, reported that Sigma might announce a new 800mm f/6.3 full-frame E/L mount lens at the CP+ show.

Today, a trusted source told me that it is very likely that this rumor could turn out to be true. Sigma has invited a number of influencers to a special event in Japan. So there will definitely be a big announcement before the CP+ show!

So it looks more likely than ever that by end of this month we will have two 800mm FE lenses, the Sony 400-800mm f/6.3-8.0 and the Sigma 800mm f/6.3.

This exhibition will display Godzilla and Mechagodzilla, which appeared in the Godzilla series. Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (2002) and Godzilla vs. Mothra vs. Mechagodzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. (2003), in which Mechagodzilla appears, depict a fierce battle between Godzilla and the Kiryu, which was developed based on the bones of the original Godzilla, and are still popular with many fans today. At
the exhibition, you can not only experience the powerful figure of Godzilla up close, but you can also take pictures freely with the experience cameras and lenses displayed at the booth. The exhibition is enjoyable not only for Godzilla fans, but also for those who are experiencing Godzilla for the first time. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the history and evolution of monster movies!

Tamron will set up a booth at CP+2025 where you can enjoy the charm of special effects movies and Tamron lenses through the following content.

  • Godzilla & Kiryu Type 3 Diorama Display: A diorama based on the set of a special effects movie will be displayed in the booth. Visitors can freely enjoy shooting using the installed Tamron lenses.
