TTartisan announced this new 75mm f/1.5 M-mount lens. You can reorder it now on Amazon, TTartisan, Pergear. It’s M-mount so that it can be used on every modern mirrorless sytem camera through appropriate adapters. What makes this lens special is that it aims ot reproduce the Image look of the old Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 75. Specifically that iconic swirly bokeh effect.
Philip Reeve tested the lens and writes:
This is a character lens, appreciated for what it is—one with unique and specific characteristics based on an old design from photography’s romantic eras. If it aligns with your taste, you’ll love it. If not, you’ll likely find it unappealing. There’s little room for middle ground or lukewarm feelings with a lens like this.
