Spring in the Dutch countryside
During a stroll through the countryside near my hometown Gouda I spotted loads of birds nesting. This swan was at a particularly nice spot. Her man was about too and I hoped he’d show up in the picture. Instead he went for a quarrel with that cow on the right. Swans sure are agressive animals while nesting! Picturesque too though.

Star trails over the Trona pinnacles in Trona, California. A total of 160 images captured using the down loadable and very useful Sony time-lapse app. Shot all in raw, edited in Adobe LightRoom CC than all images exported and stacked in StarStax 0.71 to achieve the spinning meteor effect.

From a recent trip to the desert. Green River at sunset with incredibly vibrant colors that became ever more colorful until it peaked here! One of the best sunsets I’ve seen in a while. I used the Sony A7 RII with 70-200 f/4 FE G OSS lens @ 140mm – f/5.6, 1/40th second at ISO 320 handheld! Love OSS! Instagram – @adventure_photo

Another eagle image from the Alaska Yacht adventure Muench Workshops photo workshop. Me and my workshop participants got plenty of time with the Eagles which gave everyone the opportunity to practice and perfect our technique.
Photographing the Eagles in flight is both challenging and insanely fun.
This image was made with the recently released Sony Alpha a6300 which has a truly amazing and outstanding autofocus system. I also used one of my favorite Sony lenses, the 24-240 which is the equivalent of a 36-360mm lens when you consider the crop factor. This little camera is perfectly capable of tracking even super fast Eagles in flight coming in hot to pick some herring from the water.
Enjoy!
