Tamron says tariffs will have little effects as 85% of the production have been already moved out of China

During a Q&A Tamron was asked about the effects of tariffs:

We will be affected to some extent by the increase in tariffs on China, but in response to the increase in tariffs on China during the previous Trump administration, we have been gradually transferring production of the affected parts from China to Vietnam since then. The company’s own brand, as shown in the photo, will be particularly affected, but for our own brand, we will leave some models produced in China and have already transferred about 85% of production to Vietnam and Aomori outside of China, so we believe the impact will be minor.

I wonder how much Sony will be effected by this. Sony does produce most Alpha cameras in Vietnam but I guess there is a chance Tariffs on Vietnam and also Japanese products might be coming too.

Important note: Leave out politics in the discussion. I don’t care about reading your political position. This is purely about a discussion about economic effects on the camera industry. Every political comment will be removed. Every reasonable economic discussion is ok.
