Sony says A7rIII preorders are higher than estimated

Sony is talking to the press like DC.watch and Amateur Photographer and those are the interesting bits of info:

1. Mirrorless market is growing worldwide (In Japan Sony has 29% of the FF market share)
2. A7rIII preorder numbers are higher than expected
3. focus is on the professional market without to sacrifice the consumer market (but the boundaries between the two markets are getting closer)
4. New VENICE camcorder sensor is based on a stills sensor (SAR note: Probably A9)
5. In Europe Sony is the number one mirrorless share holder and the number two in the FF market
6. it’s the surest bet imaginable that over the next year or two it will concentrate on releasing high-end long telephotos matched to the Alpha 9
7. Don’t expect to see a Sony medium-format system appear any time soon
