Sony China presentation shows the success of their 1 inch compact camera startegy

Sony had a RX100VII launch presentation in China. They also displayed those two graphs.

1) On top you can see the market share of the single Sony cameras in the compact camera segment.

2) Below you can see that while the compact camera market as a whole is shrinking the “sales value” of 1 inch sensor cameras did actually increase in the past years. In short it means Sony managed to make more money by selling less cameras.
