Sony A9II to be announced on a NYC special event around mid October and NOT at the PhotoPlus

No Sony booth this year

I previously heard that Sony will have a special camera launch event in New York City around mid October. I thought this would happen at the PhotoPlus show but indeed it will NOT. It will be a separate event in NYC the days before the PhotoPlus show!
Moreover what’s surprising is that Sony has decided to NOT participate to this years PhotoPlus show.

Strange coincidence to launch a camera before the PhotoPlus show without to participate to it….

Sony A9II rumor recap:
– The camera will be announced in October (probably around mid October)
– The camera has the same A7rIV body with additional dial on the left.
– The big improvements are INSIDE the camera with a very new generation Sony sensor and improved autofocus
– Unconfirmed: The sensor could have 36MP resolution and the camera price be close to $5,000.

I have not heard of anything else yet that could be announced soon beside the camcorders tomorrow…
