Sony A1II really seems like a relatively unspectacular update…

Share

The past days I had a long and tiring way back from Belgium to Italy. I am now back talking with sources in the hope to get some more details about the Sony A1II. All I can say for now is that all sources point out towards a relatively unspectacular update. I don’t have 100% confirmation on those specs yet so please be patient until I can confirm or correct this info:

NEW features over the first generation Sony A1are:

  • Sony A9III body
  • Pre-Capture
  • 3.2 inch vari angle screen
  • 8 stops stabilization (Sony A1 has 5.5 stops)
  • AI chip which allows to have all the A9III goodies like accurate subject recognition, improved AF and so forth
  • CFexpress Type A card for faster buffering

What should be the same with the Sony A1:

  • Same 50MP sensor
  • UNCONFIRMED-> same 30fps (although buffering time should be improved)
  • UNCONFIRMED-> same 8k30p

Thanks! If you have more info about the next Sony cameras and lenses you can share send me a message using this contact box or at sonyalpharumors@gmail.com. Thanks!
