So folks, lately I have been silent on Sony rumors because of two reasons:
- The personal stuff that is keep me busy, told you about here and I can tell you know this will take a lot of more time than expected
- Sony has postponed the release of most gear and I am awaiting new info on the new launch dates
I don’t know why Sony postponed the ZV-E10II launch and other product launches. But this is not unique to Sony! Also Canon (read here) and Nikon delayed some of their product launches. Possible reasons could be the worldwide shipment havoc but that’s just one of the possible causes.
So I am awaiting to get confirmation on the new roadmap and these are the small updates I can give you today:
Sony 85mm f/1.4 GMII
All one trusted source told me is that it still seems the 85mm f/1.4 GMII might be announced very soon (possibly within early July)
Sony ZV-E10II and kit lens
Another trusted sources told me this camera should start shipping out in August. He has no info yet when the camera will be available for reorder (If June or in July).
24-70mm f/2.0
No info at all when this lens will be released but I am 100% sure we are getting it with or soon after the ZV-E10II launch
Exciting prospects ins second half of the year
The second half of the year will be finally exciting!
- We are getting a new FX Full Frame camera between July and September. Shoudl be an FX9 successor
- We are getting a new Alpha camera in August/September. Could be the A7sIV but I have no confirmation yet
- We could get another Alpha camera in October/November. No info about this model
- Small chance to see an “unexpected” model in October/November. More info about that soon!
