Shutter 2.75 adds Focus Bracketing to Sony cameras

The new Shutter – Sony Camera Remote version is available for iPhone and iPad.

What’s new

Version 2.75 introduces Focus Bracketing within Shutter app – a convenient iOS remote for Sony cameras.

With Shutter, you can conveniently capture sequences of photos between two defined focus distances. Simply select the nearest and furthest points, the number of photos you want to capture and click the trigger button. Shutter app will do the rest.

For landscape photographers, there is even an option to combine focus with exposure bracketing.

Focus bracketing is available for the following Sony cameras: a1 · a7C · a7 IV · a7R IV · a7S III · a9 · a9 II · FX3 · RX100 VII · ZV-1 · ZV-E10

Technical detail: focus distance is expressed as a percentage. 0 means the lens’ minimum focus distance, 100 is infinity. Focus bracketing can work in 1 percentage point increments. Sony cameras don’t send the actual focusing distance in inches or meters.
