Shutter 4 for iOS: improved connectivity and UI
Shutter, a popular iOS remote control, has recently been updated with a new interface, additional camera controls, and improved reliability.
Version 4 is available for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. It is a free upgrade for all existing Shutter users.
What’s New
The entire core has been rewritten to better support modern cameras, improve speed and reliability. Shutter gains new video controls, exposure assist tools (zebra, false color, RGB histogram), more intuitive focus options, and a much faster focus bracketing experience.
New Interface
Beautiful redesign that works well for both vertical and horizontal shots. It allows photographers to easily combine timed BULB exposures, intervalometer, exposure bracketing, and focus bracketing for the best results, no matter the subject.
Exposure Assist Tools
Properly expose all your photos and videos using advanced tools like histograms, zebra stripes, or false color.
Focus Bracketing
Following user feedback, focus bracketing has been rewritten to speed up landscape and macro workflows. Simply select the step size, near and far focus limits, and Shutter will do the rest.
You can combine focus bracketing with exposure bracketing for extremely detailed results, and with a self-timer to eliminate camera shake.
Try the new version
The new Shutter is available for free to all existing subscribers. New users can test the app for free for 7 days, then choose between a $25/year subscription or a $65 lifetime option.
