Oh yes, Sony just “leaked” the upcoming ZV-E10II
I have been telling you for months that the ZV-E10II will be the first Sony E-mount camera of the year. And in recent weeks I have had confirmation that it will be announced on July 10. Now we have direct proof that the camera is coming: Sony has just updated the App Creator and if you check the camera list you will now find the name of the camera!
This is what Sony will announce on July10th:
Sony ZV-E10II
- 26MP sensor (same of the A6700 and FX30)
- larger grip to accommodate the NP-FZ100 battery
Sony E 16-50mm F/3.5-5.6 OSS II lens
- lighter
- new polished look
- can now track while zooming
IMPORTANT: There will be also a new 85mm f/1.4 GM II lens coming very soon…just don’t know if it will be announced with the ZV-E10II or 1-2 weeks later.
UPDATE: This is the official Sony teaser

New Tamron patent discloses the design of a new 50-200mm f/2.8 FF lens
Asobinet spotted a newly published Tamron patent that discloses the specs and design of a new 50-200mm f/2.8 Full Frame lens. It’s a kind of lens that I really hope will come on the market. Why? Because usually these standard zoom types start at 70mm at the wide end. The 50mm adds a lot of flexibility. What do you think of this one?
Yodobashi May sales rankings: Sony A7cII still rules in Japan!
One of Japan’s largest retailers has openly shared data of the best-selling cameras in the first half of June:
Quite unique: Venus Optics will announce the LAOWA shift zoom lens on July 8th
What you see above is a rather unique Shift-ZOOM lens. It will be announced by Venus Optics on July 8. Usually these kinds of lenses are primes, so this could be a very interesting launch to follow. We don’t know the focal length and aperture yet, but it looks like it will be an APS-C lens (definitely coming for E mount as well).
