Tamron: All future lenses will have a customization button

Share

Tamron published a video interview with their engineers. About the future development they say (google translated text):

Tamron will continue to listen to the voices of our customers and develop unique lenses that are unique to Tamron. And I would like to incorporate customization functions into all models of future lenses, improving optical performance, further maximizing AF speed, improving operability of zoom ring and focus ring, texture and grip. We would like to make further improvements such as improving the feeling.

In particular, “TAMRON Lens Utility” is still a developing technology, so we would like to hear your voices and requests and add it to new functions.

In addition to improving optical performance and AF performance, future models will be equipped with a lens customization function for all lenses. We are waiting for your requests for lenses and customization functions.

As a reminder: Tamron is expected to announce five new lenses this year!

Sony 70-200mm GMII Review at ePhotozine: “powerful offering “

Share

Sony 70-200mm GM II Lens at BHphoto, Amazon, Adorama. BuyDig. FocusCamera. FotoKoch DE, Calumet DE, WexUK, ParkUK.

ePhotozine published the full review and concluded:

As cameras have become more and more demanding, needing sharper and sharper optics, so lenses have become better and better. There can be no better example than this new Sony lens – faster, lighter, more compact and with higher performance than what was already a really excellent lens. If we add to that the very nature of the 70-200mm lens, so very versatile, covering portraits, architecture, flower close-ups, close up sports, landscape, animals and many other possibilities all in an easy to use package, we have a powerful offering indeed.
A great lens at a par for the course price and a comfortable ‘Editor’s Choice’.

Sony A7rV (and another Zv-1 similar camera) will be launched before the A9III

Share

We are still in the midst of the worldwide sensor shipment crisis, so timing still is a bit unsure. But from what I gathered til now this is what we can expect in 2022:

  1. A new ZV-1 alike styled camera and a new A7rIV are going to be announced before the A9III
  2. And only if sensor supply issues permit it, the A9III will come as last camera of the year (or in early 2023 if things go bad)

I have been told there is room for some surprises, but I don’t know what’s meant with this. I hope to get more tidbits about this soon.
