Tamron has patented examples of 90mm and 135mm macro lenses that move the two lens groups with rear focus. The 90mm has inner focus. Obviously we don’t know yet if those lenses will ever make it into production.

At three A7cII/A7cR presentation event in China Sony displayed all the gear they announced in 2022 and 2023. And as far as I know there is still som gear to come in autumn. So 2023 we got quite a lot of new stuff to play with!

Lensvid had a chat with Mr. Yann Salmon-Legagneur, Head of Imaging Products & Solutions Marketing. If you are focused on future products, this interview isn’t giving any info about that. But at the end of the video the manager at least recognized that Sony got the message about the firmware complains. Let’s see with the upcoming A1 firmware update if that’s the case ;)

One more news is that after the interview he told to Lensvid that the A1/A7S III (and other cameras not directly mentioned) will be compatible with the Monitor & Control app (support coming within Spring 2024).

As you might know I am playing with AI image creation because I am curious to learn about it’s potential to replace or integrate some parts of photography. And also because I can create images I cannot create using normal Sony cameras.
