I have a bunch of messages for our sources (AXL, Tip. and the others).

1) I havn’t received any confirmation from other sources about the exact A77 launch date in July. But I am going to post the rumor soon with SR4 value.
2) I received the final price of the A77 with kit lens from three different sources. Last question. What kind lens do you mean? The current 18-55mm or the rumored new constant aperture lens?
3) Can you confirm the 26 May lens announcement? Is the 24mm f/1.7 Zeiss coming too?
4) Some news about the NEX-C3 and A35 possible announcement date?

What should Sony learn from the Fuji X100?

[shoplink 6075 ebay][/shoplink] Sony delayed the A35 and NEX-C3 announcements and there is still a bit to wait before we can see the new Sony A77 and NEX-7 in July. But also Nikon (a part the Nikon D5100), Canon, Olympus and Panasonic didn’t announce any new camera. The only camera manufacturer that is getting a lot of attentions around the web is Fuji. Since months every website is talking about the [shoplink 6075 ebay]Fuji X100[/shoplink]. The question I have to all SonyAlphaRumors readers is:

Should Sony make a medium format camera of some sort (fixed lens or interchangeable mount?

I think the X100 is an “overstimated” camera. The hybrid viewfinder is a bit a pain to use (see focusing problems) and the fixed lens is quite a limitation if you consider the price of the camera. What I really like is the build quality and the manual controls. But I am curious to see what you think about the X100!

Kurtmunger (Click here) tested the Tamron 60mm f/2.0 macro lens for Sony: “I would highly recommend the Tamron 60mm F/2 lens when used out in the field at longer distances, where F/2 can come in handy for getting a defocused background, or hand-held available light situations.  For people wanting a good macro lens with plenty of working distance, and will be using it at close focus, I’d recommend the Sony 100mm macro.”

Sony deals in US (+ new deals for teacher and students)

Sony is putting Canon and Nikon under pressure. Look at those US deals:

1) Bhphoto created that nice Sony rebates page (Click here). You can see the full list of deals. And there are so many of them! Like that nice A850+lens deal for example (Click here). The same deals are also ongoing on other stores like Amazon, Adorama and J&R. But they didn’t display them as good as BH did.

(SR3) Sony leaks the A77 name

UPDATE: That rumor comes from an external website. There is no way I can check if the rumor is correct or not. But I can guarantee the specs of the A77 I posted from my sources are almost certainly correct ;)

Inside the latest Sony consumer repair guide the A77 camera is listed (It costs $359 to repair it?).

A reminder. Tose are the specs of the camera we found through our sources:

The A77 is coming in mid July

Samyang starts shipment of the 8mm fisheye for NEX (where can we find it?)
