Here’s why there are massive Sony A7rVI, A7V, FX3II and RX1rIII rumours floating youtube!

Share

If you search on youtube for cameras like the Sony A7rVI, Sony A7V, Sony FX3II and so on, you will find a large number of ‘rumor’ videos. Over the past few months, readers have often pointed these videos out to me and some of them believed that they were real rumors.

But they are all AI generated videos!!!

There’s software that basically uses tools like CHATGPT to create a scripted text for a YouTube video, and then uses AI tools for image and video generation that create images based on that scripted text. In fact, most of the text in these videos is scraped from my websites, and then they add a few fantasy ideas to grab your attention. I hope that Youtube will soon crack down on AI-generated videos. Some of these videos have more views than my real rumor videos on Youtube :(

In general, I’m surprised at how many people fall for these IA pictures and videos. On many social networks like Facebook, IG and TikTok, I see hundreds of thousands of likes for such content and most people believe it’s real!

It’s a crazy world we live in… I almost think it’s time to go live on a mountain with my dog…. ah, sorry… I don’t have a dog… it’s just a dog created by AI!

New Panasonic Lumix S1rII is rumored to use the new 44MP Sony sensor….here are the impressive specs!

Share

As you know, Sony announced the 44MP IMX366 sensor 1-2 years ago. It’s a high speed sensor that may or may not find its way into the future new Sony A7V. My gut still tells me that the A/V will retain the 33MP resolution… but I have a curious competitor rumor: Panasonic will announce a new S1rII next week that has a new 44MP sensor. I suspect it will be a variant of the new Sony IMX366 sensor, and the rumored specs are impressive (Source: L-rumors.com).

Full Panasonic Lumix S1RII specs (preorder here soon):

  • New 44 MP “high speed” sensor
  • 40fps in electronic shutter
  • 10fps in mechanical shutter
  • 8 stops image stabilization
  • 176 MP High Res with sensor shift…handheld(!) and by combining 8 images.
  • 1.5 second pre-capture
  • 8k30p
  • 4K120 without crop
  • 8,1K Open-Gate will be released later with a Firmware Update
  • 6K ProRes RAW HQ internal recording
  • Internal RAW Video Recording: ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422 plus Proxy Recording
  • You can record on external SSD via USB-C
  • Frame marker for 2.39:1, 2.35:1, 2.00:1, 1.85:1, 16:9,
    4:3, 5:4, 1:1, 4:5, 9:16 and Custom
  • 32 Bit Float audio
  • Multi-Angle-Screen like A9III/A1II
  • Body size about the same of the Lumix S5II (just a tiny bit thicker)
  • Weather-sealed and ventilated
  • RED record button in front of the camera on the corner near the mount
  • red Tally in front and on the back fo the camera
  • Price around $3,500
  • Announcement: Feb 25, 2pm London time

This camera aims to compete against the Canon R5II and Nikon Z8. Imagine the A7V would have those specs for $2,500…I know I am dreaming and this is NOT going to happen!
