Accroding to one of our sources Sony will also introduce follwing two lenses at Photokina: The 16-50mm f/2.8 SAM and the 10-20mm G which replaces the current Sony DT 11-18mm f/4.5-5.6.
We still need to confirm the rumor with one of our second sources…

AlphaNumerique made an unsual but very interesting test with the Sony A900. Their goal was to find out which RAW converter works best. They used Lightroom, DxO, Bibble, C1Pro, Aperture, IDC, ACDSee, SILKYPIX, Lightzone and Raw Developer.
And the winner is…Adobe Lightroom!

Finally!
According to our sources Sony will announce the new translucent cameras, the A33 and the A55 on August 24! We also expect Sony to announce the new A560, the A590 and many new lenses. But we don’t knwo if those will be announced the same day or few weeks after (September 14th?).
Yeah, Sony made us angry because of some questionable choices (see the missing [shoplink 3228]A700[/shoplink] replacement and the many redundant low-end DSLR’s). But what’s coming now is a new generation of cameras that really will kick Canon and Nikon in the a.. :)
The A33 and A55 will be the first DSLR camera designed to take very good quality video, with unique fast autfocus for stills AND video (Phase detection AF during video!), and a 2 stop better High-ISO performance (than previous Sony APS-C cameras).
Expect me to post more details on SonyAlphaRumors soon!

Sony plans a product announcement on September 13th. This is 2-3 weeks later than planed announcements form Nikon, Canon and Panasonic (They will unveil their new products in August). We form SonyAlphaRumors expect the announcement of 4 APS-C cameras and many new lenses. There is also a small chance that Sony will show the next A7xx and NEX-7 behind a glass (market release expected in 2011).
As you know we are not affiliated with Sony, and we are talking about “rumors. So there is still room for positive surprises ;)
UPDATE: One of our sources told us one month ago that there would be an announcement by late August. Or Sony delayed the press release or there will be two different product presentations. We will try to get more infos…
