New Zeiss 24mm, NEX 18-55mm, Sony 135mm f/2.8 lens reviews! (+Adobe Lens Profile for 16mm f/2.8 NEX)
The swiss website Artaphot.ch (yes it is in english) wrote a very good comparison between the new Zeiss 24mm lens, Zeiss 24-70mm, [shoplink 3034]Zeiss 16-35mm[/shoplink], Minolta 24mm and Miolta 17-35mm lens! The new 24mm Zeiss delivers very sharp images “more than 90% of the full frame are displayed with perfect resolution and nearly perfect contrast.” and “the image quality of the 2/24mm @ f2 is comparable to the image quality of the ZA 2.8/24-70mm @ f 11“. Thanks Artaphot for sharing us that very good review!
David Kilpatrick created a new Adobe Lens Profile for the [shoplink 2998]16mm f/2.8 NEX[/shoplink] lens! It automatically corrects CA (Chromatic Aberration), Vignetting and Distortion. You can download the profile here: http://www.photoclubalpha.com/2010/08/16/adobe-lens-profile-for-16mm-f2-8-nex/. Thanks David!
Kurtmunger tested the [shoplink 2996]18-55mm E-mount lens[/shoplink]: “The NEX e-mount 18-55mm makes a great lens to keep permanently on your NEX camera”
Alpha Numerique (google english translation) tested the Sony 135mm f/2.8 lens.

Serious Compacts tested the ISO performance of all current mirrorless cameras. The [shoplink 3003]NEX-5[/shoplink] prooved to have the best noise performance with 1 stop advantage over the rest of the world. Let’s hope Sony can do even better with the new Pellix cameras!
Meet the NEX designers!
Sony decided to interview the team that designed the NEX cameras. Finally we know the “human beeings” behind the project. -> Taken from the Sony website: “The NEX-5/NEX-3 design project team discuss the project’s background and their individual goals in creating a totally new breed of camera with unprecedented form and functionality.”
Many Thanks to Sony for letting us meet those guys!
