Dpreview received newer versions of the NEX cameras and has redone the review. What has changed? Not a lot: “the startup times have been considerably improved“. And the final NEX5 score changed from 64% up to 65%.

ePhotozine tested the Sony DT 18-55mm lens. And their verdict is positive: “Kit lenses are usually nothing special, but this lens has proved itself a very capable performer during testing, especially in the areas of resolution and control of colour aberrations.” Click here to read their review.

Ok, now the A290 and A390 are really here :)

SonyAlphaRumors told you on May 2 (click here to read our ogirinal rumor) that the two cameras would be the next Alpha DSLR cameras. And here they are! The A390 and A290 will start shipping in July. The A390 price is $600 and the A290 is $500. In Europe €500 and €450 (body only!)

Can you tell me the last time a Sony camera made it into the top 10 of the weekly most sold DSLR (or system) cameras in Japan? I believe it was over one year ago with the Sony A700. Now the Sony NEX-5Sony NEX-5Sony NEX-5 made it it into the top-10….2 times! Yes! On place 5 with the black modle and on place 7 with the white model.
