(SR5) NEX-7 leaked image is a real prototype (Don’t get confused because of the “NO” button!)

Share

I have been assured by some of my trusted sources that the NEX-7 image leaked last week is a picture of a real NEX-7 prototype! It’s a very early “stage” image and you should not get confused because of that “NO” button. This was made intentionally to mark the fact that it is a prototype. But keep in mind that this is not the image of the final production version. There could be still some small changes! Reminder, I am 100% certain the NEX-7 has a [shoplink 6075 ebay]Fuji X100 (Click here to see that camera)[/shoplink] style (built-in viewfinder). It has 24 Megapixel sensor and a 3 million dot OLED EVF. The camera should cost around $1.200.

If you plan to buy a 400mmm you would prefer this to be a...

Sony announces the TX55 with Clear Image Zoom

Share

I was wondering why Sony didn’t announce the new compact camera(s) yet. But finally we have some hint. Sony will announce the TX55 at any moment from now.

According to DCviews: “What sets the TX55 apart is the new digital zoom technology called Clear Image Zoom that, instead of cropping the image, is using a more sophisticated process that includes pixel creation and pattern matching for a clearer and sharper magnified image. The DSC-TX55 will come in four colors and cost around $350. The camera is expected to be available in September…

Those are the specs
26mm wide-angle zoom
3.3-inch touchscreen LCD
10 frames per second (full resolution) burst mode
3D-still photos capability
dedicated video button
1080i full HD-resolution video capability

(SR5) First Sony A77 and A65 price leaks!!!

Share

Ylovephoto.com found that french A77 and A65 leak at the bottom of page 36 in Réponses Photo (a french magazine). Those are the leaked info and prices:

  • Sony Alpha 77 + 16-50mm f/2.8 SAM = 1800€
  • Sony Alpha 77 body only = 1050€
  • Sony Alpha 65 + 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 SAM = 1000€
  • Sony Alpha 65 body only = 900€

What do you think about the price? It’s damn close to what we told you months ago (Click here to read our rumor)! That’s less than the main competition:
Check Canon 7D price at [shopcountry 6954].
Check Nikon D7000 price at price at [shopcountry 6952].

We also told you the lens would cost $799 (in Euro it will be 750). The lens itself costs much less than the counterpart lenses:
Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 USM IS costs around around $300 more at [shopcountry 7556].
Nikkor AF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 $ is twice more expensive! Check at [shopcountry 7555].

Both cameras will be announced in late August. Happy with the price???

Engadget likes the NEX-C3 and “we undoubtedly plan to purchase it ourselves”

Share
[shoplink 7207][/shoplink] Engadget makes no mistery and does confess they absolutely fell in love with the Sony NEX-C3! You can read their full review here: http://www.engadget.com/2011/07/20/sony-alpha-nex-c3-review/. That is the part I do like most: “We have an opportunity to test an enormous variety of gadgets each year, including dozens of point-and-shoot and DSLR cameras. Seldom, however, do we come across a device that we undoubtedly plan to purchase ourselves. The Sony NEX-C3 is one of few exceptions — in fact, we’re even considering outfitting every member of the Engadget team with one of these compact, versatile ILCs once they hit stores next month.

And here we have the next nice review from Photozone (Click here). They tested the Minolta AF 200mm f/2.8: “The Minolta AF 200mm f/2.8 APO G HS is a marvel of a lens indeed. It is sharp as a tack in the relevant aperture range and even superior to the current [shoplink 7568 ebay]Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 APO G SSM[/shoplink].” Oh makes me wonder why such good lenses are no more in production!!! Sony wake up! Release a new 200mm lens that has at least the same terrific performance! The only place where you can find the lens in of course on [shoplink 7710 ebay]eBay (Click here to see the Minolta lens auction)[/shoplink].
