Fastest (new) mirrorless lens ever: Ibelux 40mm f/0.85!

Guys! It may be not a good quality lens but this is to date the fastest lens for a digital mirrorless system! It is the IBELUX 40mm f/0.85 for Sony E-mount! It’s made by Kipon and the German IB/E OPTICS. It will be on market by July and price has yet to be defined. Stanley Kubrick would have loved this news. He shot Barry Lyndon on an even faster lens, the Zeiss f/0.7 (Source: Visual-memory). There is also a Leica Leitz for security cameras with f/0.75 ([shoplink 16747 ebay]on auction here on eBay[/shoplink]). But this lens is designed for the Sony NEX system and hopefully quality will be decent enough!

At the CP+ show in Japan also Hasselblad is present with the “Lunar” Nex camera. They still didn’t unveil any detail about the final release date and final price (which we all have no doubt will be very high). The picture on top shows it with one of the future new Zeiss primes for NEX, the 12mm f/2.8 Distagon. As you know the 2.8/12, 1.8/32 and 2.8/50 macro will be released in Summer. Below two more pics of the Lunar (via Kumadigital.)

Confess, you can’t wait to spend $6,000 bucks on this!!!! :)

Hot! New Sony E-mount roadmap.

Share

Dear Japanese readers! We really need your help on this! The image on top shows the new Sony E-mount roadmap info that has been just posted by Sony Japan. It says that from now on we can expect Sony to release a minimum of five new E-mount lenses every year. And this year one Zeiss and one G lens will come too. By the way, let’s not forget that three “extra” Zeiss primes designed for Sony E-mount and Fuji X mount will come too!

And yes, there is no sign at all of a possible A-mount roadmap :(

Thanks all the super fast and gentle SAR readers that helped me to translate this!

About to end: 365 days NEX-7 project by Luca Rossini.

Luca Rossinis 365 days project with the NEX-7 is about to end. You can read more about it here: http://www.lucarossini.it/category/366nex/. You also know him for that great job he did with Sony on the new NEX-6 in Alaska. There may be a new project soon and I can’t wait to see his new idea :)

Important message to a source…

Sorry SAR reader to bother you. An important anonymous source just sent me an info via contact form and I have no other way to contact him than writing a public post.

Dear Source: The link is not working. Can you provide me the info via other resources? You have a text or screenshot to share? Create a fake gmail account if you want to contact me anonymously. Thanks! I can tell you is that your info is 100% correct. Not 80-90%. Got exactly the same info from other sources too.

P.S.: Again sorry readers if I have to do that and you don’t know what’s going on. It’s delicate and a very long term rumor that I am working on since a few months now.
