A nice set of M-mount lenses by SLRclub.

Again sorry if we keep talking about the A7-A7r but there are so many new tests and reviews every day! I will post new rumors very soon don’t worry. Here are the latest A7-A7r news:

Frank Doorhof posted the first part of the A7r review.

The Korean site SLRclub posted the full a7r review. There is no english translation avaialable but plenty of pictures to see! The Chinese a7/a7r operation manual is up at Sony Service.

3D-kraft (Click here) posted a very interesting test with many wide angle lenses

Those who asserted that the Sony A7R is not suited to be used in combination with Leica wide angle M lenses propably arrived at a too vague conclusion. In fact it depends on the particular lens design. Lenses with an extremely compact and symmetric design may produce problems with color shift and edge smearing even on the sensor of the A7R with shifted microlenses whereas lenses with a more telecentric design like the Leica WATE perform perfectly fine without color shift and without edge smearing on the A7R.

Also Steve Huff (Click here) posted a full image samples resumme including test images taken with M-mount lenses.

Swedish A7r review at Cyberphoto. The camera received a Gold Medeal (the highest) and below are some quotes in english:
“The Zeiss 35mm 2.8 is amazingly sharp”
“Compared to the Nikon D800 the noise at high ISO is slightly worse on A7R but on the other hand sharpness is a lot better”
“The Sony Alpha 7R is a fantastic, no compromise full frame camera”
