Mitakon said it will soon launch a new Hyperprime lens for Canon, Nikon, Sony A, Pentax SLR users. They didn’t share any specs yet but this is very likely going to be a new 85mm f/1.2 Full Frame lens!
Mitakon-Zyoptics already make a long list of Sony E-mount lenses. You can find them on [shoplink 35366 ebay]eBay (Click here)[/shoplink] and BHphoto (Click here).
As you know Sony relies a lot on in camera lens compensation. And SAR reader Jörg Haag made that big test to show you the advantages-disadvantages of Sony’s approach. Please note that text and images are propriety of Jörg Haag. So please do not reproduce it without permission from Jörg.

Rawfa: “It’s not really a rumor, but I’ve posted some photos I’ve taken on the remote northeast Brazil on several photos and I’ve been getting a lot awesome comments. Feel free to share them if you want to: http://www.talkemount.com/threads/10991/#post-85424”
Giovanni: “I am a long time reader of your excellent blog. It was instrumental in my selection of Sony mirrorless cameras (since the very first Nex5), a decision I never regretted. I think your readers might be interested in my book “All things devoured” on decaying, abandoned places in Italy, if not for the photos per se, at least because it is entirely photographed with Sony mirrorless cameras, and with non-native lenses. The cameras I used are a Nex 5, a Nex C3 and an A7. The lenses I used include Canon nFD 50/1.4, Canon FD 200/4, Minolta 40/2 LM, Nikon AF-S 17-35/2.8, Nikon AI-S 135/2.8, Zeiss Contax 50/1.4 AE, Zeiss Contax 80-200/4 MM, Zeiss Contax G 45/2, Voigtlaender 15/4.5. Can you recognize the signatures in the photos? ;-)A free full preview is available at www.gmsacco.com“

UPDATE: The Sony NAB press conference is now over. As expected no new A or E-mount stuff has been announced. For that we will have to wait a couple of days more (April 23).
Today at 2pm LAs Vegas time you can follow the video life streaming of the Sony press conference on SAR. Like I told you before do not expect any new A or E-mount photocamera today. Although I would be happy to be proven wrong!
