On September 3 we will get the next Sony product announcement. And we will see the new QX30 (30x zoom) module and the ILCE-QX1 APS-C E-mount module. I have been told the price of the ILCE-QX1 will be 300 Euro and 450 Euro with 16-50mm lens. The size is about the same of the current [shoplink 28354 ebay]QX100 (here one Bay)[/shoplink].

Reminder: On Monday/Tuesday Zeiss will announce the new Loxia lens series.

(SR3) Surprise: There is a high resolution Sony camera ready to be shown at Photokina?

Share

Is the high resolution camera the rumored 50MP A7x?

A few days ago I received a rumor about a high-resolution FF camera (article here). Well I posted this with a very low SR1 ranking in strong believe this is not going to happen yet.

Well guys, the good news is that I had to raise the rumor level from SR1 to SR3 :)

I really cannot tell you more as I just got that info today and I still am waiting to get specs. But there seems to be a very good chance that Sony will introduce a “high resolution” camera (around 50 megapixel). I yet don’t know if this is an A or E-mount (A7x?) or RX or medium format or whatever. So keep still your feet on ground for now.

At that point I am asking all sources to help me out on this by sending some info about that camera anonymously… Thanks :)

(SR5) New image of the Zeiss Loxia 35mm lens. Announcement on September 1-2.

Share

The image on top shows the new Zeiss Loxia 35mm f/2.0 Biogon Full Frame E-mount lens. Just like the yesterday leaked 50mm Loxia this is a manual focusing lens with electronic aperture control.

At the Zeiss really took inspiration from their ZM lens line as both new Loxia match the specs and kind of “general” design of these two:
[shoplink 9808 ebay]Biogon T* 2/35 ZM (here on eBay)[/shoplink].
[shoplink 9809 ebay]Planar T* 2/50 ZM (here on eBay)[/shoplink].

I have been told that Zeiss will announce those lenses within the next 3-4 days, likely on Monday or Tuesday!  And these will be just the first two lenses of five to come within the next 6-12 months!
