Sony 28-135mm Cine Lens – Exclusive Hands-On Interview
from cinema5D on Vimeo.

Cinema5D posted that Video Interview with Mr.Ueda from Sony. The talk is about the new 28-135mm FE powerzoom lens. Cinema5D also had the chance to test the lens:

The aperture F/4.0 seems to go all the way through, unlike Canon’s own and frequently used Canon 24-105mm that gets darker at the far end. The images appear very sharp and clear and we couldn’t see any obvious chromatic aberration or softening at F/4.0. We were told it is made for 4K applications. Overall the lens feels very well manufactured and strong.

(SR2) Some “whispers” about the FE lens price: Zeiss 35mm for 1399 euro?

Share

sony-fe-24-240mm-zoom-lens

VeryBigLobo got unofficially some “whispered” price info of the new FE lenses:

– 28mm f/2.0 G should cost 499 Euro (February shipment)
– 35mm f/1.4 Zeiss should cost 1399 Euro (March shipment)
– 90mm f/2.8 G macro should cost 999 Euro (March shipment)
– 24-240mm f/3.5-6.4 should cost 1099 Euro (March shipment)
– both converters should cost 229 Euro each (March shipment)

Take it with a grain of salt. To me this looks like a very good pricing!

Hands-on with the new 15-30mm f/2.8 Tamron.

Share

A very exciting new lens is the 15-30mm f/2.8 DI VC USD lens. And I have been told by trusted sources this lens is definitely coming as A-mount too. The Spanish DSLRmagazine is the first website to report a hands-on of the prototype. This is what they write:

– Is less bigger than it looks on the official pictures
– The Tamron is the first of a new kind of lenses with much more elegant design and new high optical performance
– The Tamron feels of very high quality and solid in your hand. Definitely better than any other Tamron lens made in the past
– The hood can be retracted
– Tamron goal was to deliver a lens of higher quality than those of Canon and Nikon.

Reminder: Press release of the new Tamron lens can be read here on SAR.

Here are imaes from DSLRmagazine and ePhotozine. Click on them to enlarge the image size:
