Tell Sigma CEO Kazuto Yamaki what FE lens they should release first!

As you know Sigma CEO Kazuto Yamaki confirmed they are working on a new range of Sigma FF E-mount lenses. I have to say I have my highest respect for CEO Kazuto Yamaki and I thought it would be kind from SAR readers to just give them a little help by sharing our special wish list.

Based on Sigmas current FF lens lineup I made a list of possible FE lenses. Note that this would be newly redesigned lenses and not just a copy of current DSLR lenses with E-mount. Also think twice before you choose a lens: Be aware that “cool” lenses will cost!

Choose the three FE lenses Sigma should make as first:

Sony removes the Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 A-mount from their A-mount list. Updated lens coming?

SAR reader “Slavic” noticed that Sony removed the Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 A-mount lens from their official Sony A-mount lens list (Click here). Usually some kind of changes do happen there if new lenses are about to be announced soon.

Sony just recently confirmed they will update a few of their current A-mount lenses by adding faster SSM support (SAR reported about it here). So let’s see if that’s just a mistake on their website or if they are really going to announce a new updated version soon…

Sony has second worse JPG quality according to TCSTV grouptest

Share

The folks over at TheCameraStoreTV posted their Great JPEG Shootout. They tested the Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji, iPhone, Pentax, Olympus, Panasonic cameras and found that Sony was the third worse after Pentax and the iPhone. Chris said the Sony colors are very natural but this is at the same time the downside as it doesn’t look “pleasing”.
