Need technical help from readers (regarding mobile malvertisers)

Share

Dear readers.

Lately some of you experienced annoying pop up ads issues or redirects on the mobile version of SonyAlphaRumors. I have google adsense advertising running on SAR and it appears some advertiser is not respecting the rules of google. I asked google what to do and I need your help to fix this. If you happen to see such an advertising please send me the following info at sonyalpharumors@gmail.com:

  1. Screenshot of the SAR site showing the displayed ads on the site (because google believes one of those ads has a “hidden” redirecting code to the pop up advertisers
  2. Country where you are surfing form (for example UK or USA)
  3. As there seems to be multiple redirects before the pop up comes send me (if possible) the chronology showing the various redirects
  4. Also please try to clear the mobile browser cache to see if that fixes the issue.
  5. Eventually send me the html code of the SAR site when these redirects do happen.

I hope with your help that google can fix this soon. Thanks!

P.S.: An example of unallowed advertising:

World’s first Mitakon 35mm f/0.95 Mark II E-mount Review by Richard Wong

Share

Bildschirmfoto 2016-02-20 um 11.14.14

As you know Zhongyi recently announced the new Mitakon 35mm f/0.95 II APS-C E-mount lens. You can preorder the lens at Bhphoto (Click here) and Adorama (Click here). The new lens is more compact and has an improved optical performance compared to it’s predecessor. Richard Wong is the first to have tested the new lens and writes:

The original Speedmaster 35mm f/0.95 is a pretty nice lens, but the wide open sharpness really isn’t that impressive. I’m happy to report this is greatly improved with the new mark II version. Even with the pretty demanding 24MP Sony A6000, the center sharpness is really good at maximum aperture. The bokeh is really quite nice and smooth. There is a little bit of cat’s eye effect but nothing too dramatic.

Check out the image samples posted by Richard Wong. Looks like this is a pretty good lens…

Batis 25mm lens teardown: “Zeiss’ claim to weather and dust resistance is well founded”

Share

teardwon

Lensrentals opened up the new Batis 25mm lens and looked inside. This is what they say:

We learned that Zeiss’ claim to weather and dust resistance is well founded. We saw a lot of tight foamed seals and there were no obvious ‘leak points’ in the lens. And it had obviously gotten into a lot of sane, but there was not one grain of sand on the inside.
We confirmed (as we already expected) that electromagnetic linear focusing system is at its core identical to the one used in other FE mount lenses. We did find it seems more robustly put together than what we saw in the first generation systems. Whether this is because Zeiss has it manufactured to a different specification or simply because the new technology is being improved we don’t know yet. Neither do we know who actually is making the AF module for the various E mount lenses. It really doesn’t matter, but I’m sure people are going to argue about it. Because people love to argue about things that don’t really matter.
