The usual suspect websites keep posting their own wild speculations and selling them as “rumors” to make their living. I am not going to link to those websites but readers kept asking me frequently today what I think about those rumored Sony A7V specs. In short…those are just self made “creative” speculations from websites that never got ONE single rumor right!
The following A7V rumor list is a simple mix of a real Sony sensor spec (IMX366AJK) and well educated and obvious features:
44MP Full-Frame Exmor R CMOS BSI Sensor AI-Based Real-Time Tracking AF System Up to 26 fps Cont. Shooting with AF/AE BIONZ XR & AI Processing Unit 4K 16-Bit Raw Output; S-Log3/S-Cinetone 8k 30fps, 4K 120p, FHD 240p 12-Bit Video 8-Stop 5-Axis Image Stabilization Focus Breathing Compensation AI Autoframing | User up-loadable Luts Dual CFexpress Type A/SD Card Slots
As a mountain hiker I need sometimes to carry an extra battery with me that can charge my gear. The new VB-99 is light and fast, ideal if you need to charge your camera, dron or laptop all at once!
The camera market is saturated with many excellent models. This is the right time for Sony to think out of the box and give us cameras they didn’t dare to make the past 10 years!
A company I never heard of before named Chipfancier will launch a new 2TB CFexpress Type A card with life time warranty. The current largest capacity card is made by Angelbird and Pergear (both 1TB).
Now this has been a surprise for me too: The UK largest photo magazine asked me to create an AI image for their latest edition. It includes an interview with me and world star photographer Steve McCurry! In this video I explain you how this happened and why you REAL photographer shouldn’t miss out to the opportunity to dig into this new business that only calls for YOUR talent!
