Curiosity at Adorama: You can get the Sony A1 for $5,112 if you can accept that it does not autofocus!

Share

Here is your chance to save $1,386 on this Open Box Sony A1 camera sold by Adorama. But BIG warning…autofocus doesn’t work! I really want to see if they are able to sell this…crap :) Unless some of you know how to fix the AF issue… UPDATE: The listing has been remove!

If you really wanna get the A1 with a discount I do believe this reconditioned Sony A1 sold by Amazon ($1200 off) is a much better deal!

Reminder: There are a ton of E-mount cameras and lenses with great rebates and 90 day guarantee sold by Amazon (Click here). The specific camera gear deals can be found here:

WILD rumor from China: Sony FX3II with 12 Megapixel Global shutter sensor coming in March

Share

On various Chinese social platforms you can read about a possible Sony FX3II with 12 Megapixel Global shutter sensor coming in March. I did NOT get any confirmation about such a camera model. All I know is that the ZV-E10II is coming soon. So I would take those rumors with a huge amount of skepticism.

That said, I do believe a global shutter on a video focused E-mount camera makes a TON of sense. What do you think? Should a future FX3II or maybe even the A7sIV have global shutter?

First hints about two major Sony camera announcements…

Share

I got first hints about two possible major Sony announcements. With “major” I mean cameras that are High End. A trusted source told me Sony reserved two time slots for those announcements but I don’t know yet what we will get.

First let’s talk about the cameras we know are (or are not) coming:

So based on the little I know we can speculate what those two cameras will be:

  • Sony A7sIII successor
  • Sony RX1 successor
  • Something completely new like a medium format camera
  • Something less exciting for the masses like a High end FX camera model or so…

What do you hope to get? I bet on the A7sIV and a new RX model….but I might be wrong…
