(SR4) α7sⅢ will have new stacked image sensor with integral memory

Share

It’s completely uncertain if Sony will show the new A7sIII at the NABshow

The following rumor is from the same source whom shared the correct 100mm STF lens rumor. He told me this:

α7sⅢ will have new stacked image sensor with integral memory and will have High ISO sensitivity and improved AF.

I know this doesn’t tell us anything useful yet. I hope to get some solid specs soon.

Just some fun: The First April A7sIII specs from Filmmakers.pro:

Hunter:Braving subfreezing temperatures, I returned home after my first night of shooting only to find that I had moved my tripod halfway through the shoot….and after 20 hours of editing, I sadly came to the conclusion that I had to reshoot…..Luckily I returned 4 days later in sub freezing temperatures and reshot my concept.  https://www.instagram.com/p/BfUCIuwgQBZ/?taken-by=hunterp

Claas:I’ve seen a lot of tech specs for the a7rIII on your website and a lot of featured test videos from people all around the world. For me as an professional photographer this is one side of a new camera, but on the other hand i like to see how all these tools perform in real world situation and what the output looks like at the end. I shoot a little documentary in January in Bangladesh with the a7rIII together with the Zeiss Batis 25mm and the Sony 55mm. https://vimeo.com/254910774

Scott:This is a short video I put together as a test for 120fps at night with high ISO on the a7rIII. I think SAR readers will like it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXvX27Iqo4k

This is now seriously weird: First Sony A7sIII book on sale at Amazon Germany!

Share

At first I thought this would be an April’s Fools Joke. But you can really preorder this book at Amazon Germany! And if that would be a joke they would have to reimburse all those who ordered the book. And if this isn’t a joke and just a guess from the authors they would get in trouble too: Just imagine people buying this book as a guide for the future A7sIII and then it turns out the real A7sIII  works not as the book says it should. And at last: the book is from serious company and from serious writers.

So honestly, this is a bit confusing…and if it’s a joke it’s a seriously good one.
