HOT! New Sony Alpha camera announcement is happening in late November!
Trusted sources told me that Sony has a new product launch event planned for the end of November. We are nearly certainly getting a new Full Frame E-mount camera and possibly also a new lens! The source did NOT give any details about what exactly will be announced.
But based on previous rumors, I know that these three products will likely be announced within the next 6-7 months:
- 24-70mm f/2.0 GM (about the same size and also same price of the Canon 28-70mm f/2.0)
- Sony A1 successor (speculated to have same 50MP sensor but with faster FPS, faster AF, CFexpress 4.0 support and AI chip)
- Sony A7IV successor
What’s NOT likely to be announced:
- Sony a7sIII successor (is the A7s lineup gone for good?)
- Sony FX3 successor (more likely to be announced in 2025 or later)
- Sony A7rV successor (probably in 2026 only)
My personal speculation is that we could get the Sony A1II and maybe the 24-70mm f/2.0 GM. But like I said, I don’t have any confirmation yet about the specific product names. And because we don’t know what’s coming, you can dream of your perfect camera/lens until reality disappoints you :)
So let me know in this POLL and in the comments what your Christmas present should be!
If you have more info about the next Sony cameras and lenses you can share send me a message using this contact box or at sonyalpharumors@gmail.com. Thanks!
