Lenstip tested the new Samyang 85mm f/1.4 FE lens and liked it a lot:

I think we don’t even have to write a very lengthy summary in this case. If a lens of an independent producer three times cheaper than its well-done brand name rival fares in most categories better than the said brand name lens, you really don’t have to be verbose. 

We should be grateful to independent producers for their good quality lenses which are sold at normal prices. While developing new systems, brand name manufacturers are climbing new heights of absurdity with pricing new lenses launched on the market…

And now a funny side story:

Somebody in China modified the new Samyang lens in a way that it looks close to the Sony 85mm GM lens :)

Diglloyd says the new Voigtlander 21mm f/1.4 lens is “the best 21mm lens of any speed that I have seen”

Diglloyd is testing the new Voigtlander 21mm f/1.4 lens and writes:

“Yes, you want this lens, right now! This is the best 21mm f/1.4 I have ever seen. Well, probably the best 21mm lens of any speed (DSLR or mirrorless) that I have seen.”

Fred Miranda also tested the new lens and concludes:

Is the new Voigtlander 21/1.4 Nokton the new king of the hill at 21mm?
In terms of resolution and contrast, the Voigtlander 21/1.4 Nokton performs very similar if not better than the Zeiss Loxia 21/2.8 which is something no other E-mount lens was able to achieve until now. It’s taller and 166g heavier than the Loxia but in exchange, it’s capable of gathering 4 times more light and field curvature is super low.
Compared to the Sony FE 24/1.4 GM, the CV 21/1.4 is sharper at the center at wider apertures and is capable of higher contrast but can’t compete with the FE 24/1.4 GM’s smooth rendering, especially at mid-distance. Wide open, It’s also not as sharp away from center compared to the GM.

Marc Alhadeff writes:

The Voigtländer 21mm F1.4 Nokton (1400 euros) is one of the best wide angle lens of its category (20-21mm) , one that is a pleasure to use and with results that will always positively surprise you when viewed on a big screen.
