A source just told me that Sony plans to announce a new updated version of the current 400mm f/2.8 GM lens. Apparently the aim is to make it better than the competition like the Nikon 400mm 2.8. The lens was announce back in 2018 so an update is certainly possible to happen in 2025.

The German company SPINN launched the new generation Water resistant wrapper on Kickstarter (Click here). It now has an extra barrier that now also protects your equipment against wet conditions!
Viltrox will launch two new E-mount lenses in August. They will be from the “AIR” compact autofocus lens series. Currently Viltrox already offers the 20mm f/2.8 AF FE lens. My guess is that we will get E-mount version of their Z and X mount AIR lenses that are yet not available as E-mount option. These would be the 56mm f/1.7 APSC and the 40mm f/2.5 Full Frame lens.
Meike will soon announce this new 35mm f/2.0 Full Frame autofocus E-mount lens. There will be also a Z and L-mount version of this. There is yet no info about pricing but this should cost a bit less than $200 like some similar lenses they already sell on Amazon and on their Global Store.
