Images from the Sony booth at the Cp+ show including a half cut 300mm GM
The Cp+ kicked off today and here are some images from the Sony booth (Courtesy of DC.watch). Above you can see a cut model of FE 300mm F2.8 GM OSS. DC.watch writes:
The second and subsequent lenses are placed as far back as possible to optimize the weight balance, and the aperture of the lenses used is small, contributing to weight reduction. The high level of attention visitors paid to the technology exhibition corner was impressive.
aperture unit. While still images require high speed, video requires smooth movement with a focus on quality. I took a slow shutter shot of it working inside the case.
An exhibit where you can see the movements of the focus group and floating group during focusing. Floating focus mechanisms that perform so-called short-distance image quality correction used to use tubes with guide grooves to move each group, but in recent years each group has been equipped with an actuator and operates independently. This reduces the number of floating tubes, leading to smaller size and lighter weight.
