FastRawViewer launches the new “Monochrome2DNG” utility for Sony Monochrome-Converted Cameras

We released a public beta of an utility that is useful for those who have or looking for Sony cameras re-worked to become monochrome by stripping CFAs, like those available from
Daniel Morrison at www.monochromeimaging.comThe utility records a true black and white DNG, compatible with standard raw converters. With such monochrome DNG files raw converter will be skipping any demosaicking stages (which, in turn, leads to better acutance and much less moire) and white balancing. The utility also prevents the formation of 1-pixel grid artifacts.
