I got some additional info about the A7CII and A7CR cameras including one correction: The A7cR does NOT record 8K as previously reported (there was a miscommunication from the source).

Sony A7cII:

The difference between A7cII and A7cR: Sensor, likely the price, A7cR has the 4D fully articulating screen and IBIS of the A7rV. Compared with the A7IV and A7rV the new C series cameras will only have on slot. The A7cR will “loose” the 8K.

Yesterday I reported the A7cR records 8K. Now the trusted source contacted me back and apologized for the mistake. This was only a miscommunication error. Trusted sources told me that on August 29 Sony will have new major product announcements! This is what we can expect to get:

• 95% chance we will get the A7cII (likely has same/similar A7IV specs)
• 90% chance we will get the A7cR (maybe with A7rV sensor)
• 85% chance we will get the 16-35mm GM II (more compact and optically improved).

As soon as I have confirmed specs and possibly also some images I will post them on SAR!
