The new Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 Lens (which is also available for Sony Alpha mount) has been reviewed on photozone (using the canon version). The verdict: “The Sigma may be the new star in this lens segment“. Compare the Sigma lens with the Sony 11-18mm f/4.5-5.6 DT (on photozone). I would say the Sigma lens is much better and costs less than the Sony 11-18mm
lens! Probably this could become your favorite wide angle zoom :)
Order the lens on Amazon US / Adorama / Amazon Deutschland

Dpreview posted their very short A850 review (4 pages only). There is not much to say. Conclusions are very similar to the one written for the Sony A900.
P.S: You can order the Sony A850 using following links Amazon / Adorama / BHphoto / Amazon UK

As we learned few days ago Cgerrard is finishing his latest Sony articles before to stop to work on AlphaMountWorld. He just posted a Pentax K7 vs Sony A700
comparison. Read the 4-page long review at http://www.alphamountworld.com/photography-articles/pentax-k7-vs-sony-a700-comparison
Another comparison is available at artaphot.ch. They compare the A500 vs A700 vs A900 vs Dynax 7D.
DxOmark tested the Sony A450. Results are almost the same as the Sony A550. The only real difference is that the Sony A550 is available in the US and the A450 not.
This lens is one of the reasons why you should join the Sony digital camera world. Photozone tested the Zeiss ZA Sonnar T* 135mm f/1.8 and they were pretty impressed by the lens. The Zeiss has no flaws! Yeah, it would be nice if the lens would a little bit cheaper but you get what you pay for!
You can purchase the Zeiss ZA Sonnar T* 135mm f/1.8 for $1,479.00 on amazon. Five are in Stock right now.
