BHphoto just send me a email to remind me that you can saave $200 when buying a NEX camera with both lenses (18-55 and 16mm). See all the NEX deals at BHphoto (Click here) and Amazon (Click here).
The starblogger Ken Rockwell tested the new Samyang 35mm f/1.4 lens. he tested it on a Nikon but as you know the lens is available with A-mount too so you should definitely read the article: “For where and when you can take the time to focus precisely manually, this Samyang lens is a total winner.”
The lens is in Stock for $499 at Amazon (Click here), branded with the name Rokinon on [shoplink 7453 ebay]eBay (Click here)[/shoplink] and branded with the name Samyang on [shoplink 7380 ebay]eBay (Click here)[/shoplink].
The real bargain is the 85mm f/1.4 you can get for $274 on Amazon (Click here), branded with the name Rokinon on [shoplink 7456 ebay]eBay (Click here)[/shoplink] and branded with the name Samyang on [shoplink 7454 ebay]eBay (Click here)[/shoplink].
DxOmark (Click here) tested the new [shoplink 7207]Sony NEX-C3[/shoplink]. They also tried to understand if the Sony NEX C-3 vs [shoplink 5509]Sony A580[/shoplink] vs Pentax K5 vs Nikon D7000 are using the same sensor: “The scores say no, but our measurements loudly say yes, this is the same sensor but it has been tuned differently:
On the other hand the Sony NEX C3 should be able to provide the same Image Quality scores in High ISO (the lowlight ISO Score is of 1083).”
So why did Sony ban the ISO 100 from the Sony NEX-C3? Mystery!
P.S.: Those are the direct search links to the Sony NEX-C3 at [shopcountry 7207].
And again Jhpvideotutorials posted a Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 APO G(D) SSM Lens Hands on Review: “it’s very sharp across at all aperture’s, but tack sharp from f/4-f/8. The Bokeh is also very nice and the optical flaws such as chromatic aberrations and vignetting are minimal and any raw processing program can fix it with ease. The only negative to this lens in my opinion is the price”

Focus Numerique tested the Tamron SP 60 mm f/2 Macro Di II which is also available for Alpha Mount.

Fotasy 35mm f/1.7 lens tested on a Sony NEX-3 at Seriouscompacts: “No doubt that this setup is not the end all in the quest for small camera/high IQ/low cost, but for now, it has won a spot near the top of my camera bag and I highly recommend it to anyone who is either looking for a low cost solution or who would like to take a step back from pixel peeping and enjoy a care free, creative shooting experience.”
P.S.: I don’t knwo where to find that lens ut usually you can find that stuff on [shoplink 7576 ebay]eBay only[/shoplink].
Kurt Munger (Click here) posted a full review of the Tokina 11-16mm F/2.8 lens: “The Tokina performs superbly at the shorter focal lengths, with sharp centers that nearly match the mid-sections and corners when stopped down. It has some of the sharpest corners of any super wide zoom I’ve ever tested, and that’s saying something!“.

Photoreview Australia (Click here) published a full test of the new Sony A35. it conains plenty of graphs and Imatests. There are almost no differences between the A55 and A35: “Not unexpectedly, many of the features we liked about the SLT-A55 are also found in the new camera. The compact and lightweight body is a pleasure to use and most frequently-used controls are within quick and easy reach.“. Those are the ratings:
The A35 will be in Stock by August and you can look for preorders at [shopcountry 7419].
