DxOmark sensor test: Panasonic S1R gets the same score as the Sony A7rIII

DxOmark published the Panasonic S1R sensor Lab Test results. The camera performs very similar to the competition and earned the same A7rIII total score. There are some minor differences with the Sony:

PRO: Across much of the ISO range, the Panasonic S1R outperforms both the Nikon Z 7 and the Sony A7R III in color sensitivity, starting at a high maximum of 26.4 bits at a base of ISO 100, falling to around 15 bits at ISO 25,600.

CONS: The Panasonic Dynamic Rane never quite matches the range of the Sony A7R III, remaining around 1 stop (1 EV) lower throughout the ISO range.

TheSlantedLens: Canon RP vs Sony A7III: Which Mirrorless Camera to Buy in 2019?

Obvious answer :)

And it seems the market agrees with TheSlantedLens. The A7III sells a lot more than the Canon according BCNranking and on the Amazon US Best Sellers ranking (which is unscientific compared to BCN). And with the previous generation A7II with have an even cheaper RP competition ($999 with lens at Buydig, BHphoto, Amazon, Adorama and Focuscamera)

SonyA7III at BuyDig, BHphoto, Amazon, Adorama, FocusCamera.
