Angelina Jolie photoshooting with the A7rIV and 24-70/2.8 GM II by Annie Leibovitz

John McDermott spotted this szene and wrote:

In this video below it looks to me like Annie shot Angelina Jolie with an A7R IV and 24-70/2.8 GM II. which doesn’t surprise me, knowing her for a very long time. She started out with a Leica M and a Nikon F, working in a photojournalistic, documentary style. she is a great admirer of Robert Frank, Cartier-Bresson, Paul Fusco and Jim Marshall. She continually tends to go back to her roots and work as light as possible. 61 megapixels seems to convince her that medium format isn’t always necessary, though I know she has also been shooting with the Fuji GFX 100.

The Olympic battle: Sony A9III vs Canon R1 vs Nikon Z1

Tony&Chelsea:

The OLYMPICS are comong in the summer of 2024 and that means we’re going to get new camera gear. The Canon R1 might make an appearance in time to show off on the sidelines. Sony is due to put out two new cameras, which one will they decide to show off at the big event? Can Nikon put out a new update or camera in time for the games? Tony and Chelsea make their predictions and wishes based on rumors and their camera desires!

First unconfirmed Sony A9III specs: Same A1 body, 33MP and 40fps

Around November 7 Sony will have a major product announcement event. It’s near certain we are going to get the final 300mm f/2.8 GM lens specs and pricing info. I am still not 100% certain about the A9III but I think the chances are very good the camera will be announced on that very same event. Also the A1 firmware update could be launched on that day.

All I know form trusted sources is that the A9III uses a new stacked sensor to make it the world’s fastest FF camera. The more detailed specs I am receiving are not from my long time trusted sources so while I am going to share some of them today keep in mind I am yet not 100% sure about this:

  • Nearly same A1 body
  • 33-36MP sensor
  • no 8K
  • 40fps 12 bit RAW
  • 30fps 14 bit RAW
