According to Sony Japan the 16mm f/2.8 lens is available in pre-production version only. Expect the “final” lenses to perform better results.

The most interesting parts are:
1) Indeed, the bodies of the cameras are really small, but the size of the optics is somewhat disproportionate. We did not want to sacrifice image quality to get smaller targets. It is a challenge for our engineers to achieve a reduction in the future the size of the optical and while maintaining its quality.
2) The zoom of 18-55 mm is lighter than that used by the Micro Four Thirds cameras
3) To make the camera body was small, the smallest of the moment, this time the engineers decided to move the Super SteadyShot system to the objectives. It is the best choice when you want to give priority to reducing the size of the camera.

To make our site grow and become better we need your little help:
1) Send us rumors and news
When you find interesting news-rumors-reviews that we didn’t post help us and send us the link to sonyalpharumors@gmail.com.
We can keep you anonymous of course. If you want to feel safe when sending rumors you can also use the contact form on the right sidebar. It doesn’t store your IP-address and you can avoid to give me your name and email.
2) Critizes us
We are currently redesigning the website. So if you have some last-minute suggestions just let us know. If you don’t like something feel free to express your disappointment.
3) Link to us
Many websites do copy rumor/news without linking to us. I already saw 3-4 website which do claim that a certain rumor is from their sources but in fact they are “stealing” the rumor from SonyAlphaRumors. So please link to us :)
4) Help us to cover our server and redesign costs
Every mount we have a small ammount of server costs to cover. A major cost is the website redesign. We do not ask you for donations. The best way to help us is by using our links to amazon-adorama or bhphoto (or redcoon-pixmania if you are located in Europe) when you do shopping. Once you click on them and buy something (it doesn’t matter what) we get a small commission for it and you do not pay any penny more!
If you often shop in Amazon US or BHphoto you can bookmark following link:
http://www.amazon.com/
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/?BI=4499&KBID=4968
When you click on the link to shop you know you will support us :)
If you are from other countries just click on the shop logo you see on the right sidebar. Those are all our affiliates!
This is it! Let’s go back to rumors and news now ;)
I hope you don’t get bored with all those NEX news :)

The new Sigma 120-400mm f/4.5-5.6 AF APO DG OS HSM has in-lens stabilization. It will have the same price as the “older” Sigma 120-400mm f/4.5-5.6 AF APO DG HSM Telephoto Zoom Lens for Sony Alpha Digital SLR Cameras.
