Sony NEX-7 back in Stock at Amazon (and NEX-7 versus markIII comparison)

A couple of NEX-7 cameras are right now in Stock at Amazon (Click here). And every time it is in Stock it quickly jumps on position one of the mirrorless sales ranking.

And Cameralabs (Click here) made a short NEX-7 versus Canon markIII image comparison: “Ultimately I’d call their real-life resolving power at 100 ISO as being essentially the same, and while that may not come as a huge surprise given their similar sensor resolutions, it remains a great result for the NEX-7 considering its considerably lower price tag – not to mention its considerably smaller body too.”  Surprised?

New Sony and Sigma lens rebates. Sony HX9V beats the D800 in sales number!

After one month the Nikon D800 got dethroned from the most sold digital camera ranking at Amazon (Click here). And surprise…the merit goes to the Sony HX9V :)

But now let’s talk about lenses. While Sony increased the prices of their Alpha mount lenses Sigma now started a new price drop on three lenses. You can check the list and deals at BHphoto (Click here). And there is also a new $100 off on A77/65 and lens bundle options at Amazon (Click here).

While the Sony sensor powered Nikon D800 is undoubtedly the king of the DSLR sales (Click here), the NEX-7 is the most sold mirrorless camera every time it gets back in Stock at Amazon (Click here to grab it now). And even when it comes to the overall camera sales Sony is on the top list with the….HX9V! I guess Sony is doing a great business right now with their digital camera and sensor sales! Let’s hope this will push them to make more products!

Meantime Mike Kobal (Click here) reviewed the new Sigma 30mm lens on his NEX-7 camera. As you know during the last days we posted many reviews from Photozone where we saw that the NEX-7 requires high quality optics to get out the best from the 24 Megapixel sensor. The image samples shown by Mike are actually looking surprisingly good for a lens that costs $199 only at BH (Click here)! Mike writes: “I never expected this little lens to perform at such a high level-reason enough for this quick test.

A couple of days before the final NEX-FS700 announcement Luminus Landscape (Click here) posted the review of the current NEX-FS100 camera: “There’s little doubt in my mind that it is currently the best value in a Super 35mm video camcorder and very competitive with cameras costing 2–3 times as much in terms of image quality.
