At last! Viltrox AF 135mm F1.8 LAB E-mount to be released end 2024

We received additional information from an independent source about the VILTROX AF 135mm F1.8 Lab, which is said to be released this year (thanks). It is said to have excellent AF speed and focus breathing. It is still in the testing phase.

Specifically he added this info:

  • Not to mention the image quality, focus breathing and AF speed are excellent.
  • It is currently in the engineering testing phase and optimization is underway.

This new Viltrox lens should match or even slightly outperform the quality of the Sony 135mm f/1.8 GM for a fraction of the price!

There will be many more professional grade “LAB” Viltrox lenses in 2025. They already teased them a couple of months ago:
