It’s a first-gen product that Sony basically nailed; they’ve also stated publicly that all of their future dSLRs will be based around pellicle mirrors, so while the A55 is the top dog in the SLT lineup at the moment, there will be a clear upgrade path in the future, probably even up to a full-frame shooter. As we said at the top of the review, we whole-heartedly recommend the A55, the first time we’ve ever done so with a Sony dSLR.”
